Ingredients

  • 1 cup basmati rice

  • 2 cups water or broth

  • 1 tbsp butter or olive oil

  • 1 tbsp mixed dried herbs (or fresh parsley/cilantro)

  • Salt & pepper

Directions

  • Rinse rice. In a pot, melt butter/oil and add rice; stir briefly.
  • Add water/broth and salt; bring to boil. Cover and simmer on low 12–15 min.
  • Fluff with fork and mix in herbs and pepper.
